HALLOWEEN ILLUSTRATIONS

I did these Halloween illustrations

and I'm making a print of each to mount on canvas.

These, along with some prints of vintage Halloween photos that I'm also going to mount on canvas will go down to my space at the Art and Antique place.

After this, I'm planning on going in a new direction,
More about that later...

Jimmy Chew, Blue and Twinkle

I used 3 different filters from a new app that I found.
"Prism"
First I adjusted them with the "Aviary" app and then I altered them with Prism.
The photography is mine.

Forgot to share these!

I finished my friends prints of her pets!
She gave me no time limit.
That's always bad for me, as I will put it off.
Yes, I am a major procrastinator.
Here are the finished pieces.

Latest commissioned piece -

A client sent me a photo of her friend's dog.
She wanted to give her a print as a gift.

I finished some commissioned pieces

I had four people ask me to do some art work for them and I created the work but so far I'm still waiting on approval on several before I finish them up.
Once again, many have NOT gotten back to me.
But fortunately ONE has approved and prepaid me and another,
I'm still working on.
I'm not fond of doing commissions but since these do not have the names of the pets in the photo or anything that would make them personalized to a specific person, I'm not going to get upset about it.
If they don't contact me. I will just put them up for sale at the clinic or at the Art/Antique place where I have a space.
So here's what I've created -
And in another style -
And for another person-
And
Then I did them in a linen look -
And
Which do you prefer?
I have my personal favorite but some people seem to like the other.

Finally, I did this one.
She requested a White German Shepherd.
The other dog prints were of dogs that they brought in and I photographed.
This is made from a photo I had saved on my old laptop. -

I'm not even sure who it is but I have an idea.
Anyway the woman approved it via iPhone and even stopped in and paid me!
Yeh!

Then the other day, I had another woman requested one of her dog, using her own photo.
I think I should be able to do it.
She said she'd pay me whatever I wanted.
I quoted my usual price and she was shocked.
She said she would have paid much more!
Lol!
But the finished pieces are actually prints mounted on canvases.
If they were originals, I would charge more!
Right now I'm viewing this as a learning process.
Most times the money I make, I just invest it back into buying more art supplies.
Although I do use some of it to buy Blue's food too!
I've got a lot of ideas rolling around in my head, so everything's good.

New Photos!

Just a few of my photos:
My Border Collie, Nora:

A Chihuahua that I sometimes take care of:

And my sister's rescued cat Urie. Her husband saw him injured on the road in Iowa as a kitten and he turned around and scooped him up in his lunch bag and rushed into the vet clinic :

FINISHED COMMISSIONED PIECE

A blogger friend commissioned me to do Jimmy Chew sitting with the bag of dog kibble that he knocked down and spilled all over the floor.

I did it in Inktense pencils and ink.
The background is directly on the art board.
Jimmy is in Inktense on paper and collaged on top of the art board and a bit of him wrapped around the side.
I did the same with the dog food vag and kibble.
Then I also did some separate pieces of kibble and collaged them on top of it to give a 3D look.

NO ART TONIGHT.

No Art tonight.
I came home to find my Rosie, my 16 1/2 year old Papillon very weak.
She's frail, blind, only has one tooth and doesn't even weigh 5 lbs but
she's been sassy and barks for her dinner every evening
and finds her potty pad on her own and tonight, she's done none of that.
I gave her a bath, and she just sat in the sink and didn't fight it.
She wouldn't eat her dinner or even taste the special canned food that she would usually gulp down.
My head tells me that she's old.
VERY old and she's had a long life,
the last 6 1/2 years here with me.
Hopefully she will snap out of this but I'm fearing the worse.
So... no Art tonight.

THERE COMES A POINT...

When you have to say -
"Well! That didn't work!"
and crumble it up and go to bed.

FINISHED THE HEADER! BUT.....

I can't make it any bigger or it blurs out.
So... I messed around with the margins, the widths, so that it's at least centered.
That is my Art for today.
Maybe tomorrow with a fresh mind, I'll be able to figure out.
Or maybe not.
LOL!
But I'm tired and going to bed now.
